Small town to the north of Fontaine-Chaalis which holds the vestiges of a fortified castle
of 15th century, destroyed on the order of Richelieu in 17th century. There remains a section
of keep, visible from afar and the surrounding plain. The parish church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste dates back in general to 14th century with restoration
in 16th century. A plaque recalls the passing through of Joan of Ark in 1429 at the end of a brief
combat between the French and English without real victor, at the foot of the Montépilloy hill.
