Summer residence of Senlis bishops, a few kilometres from the east of the City, where the parish
church benefited greatly from the donations of the prelates of the 13th century. It was almost entirely
rebuilt in 16th century, after having suffered extensive damage in the 100 Year War. It is interesting to
note the squat bell-tower, used as a watch tower. The castle of the bishops, completely remodelled, now
on private property, encloses a neo-gothic chapel.
