Situated in the heart of the Halatte forest, a departure point for many hikes,
it is a clearing which first emerged in 11th century on the Saint-Christophe-en-Halatte hill.
It had a priory of which a very beautiful chapel remains, as well as a parish house, called the
"château", dated 1764. The parish church dedicated to Saint Jacques and Saint Gilles has
several vestiges of 12th century, but the entire building is mainly indicative of the 16th century.
It is also worth seeing the town hall with its curious central pinnacle turret, built in
1848 and which housed the mayoralty, school… and asylum.
