Essentially an agricultural village, which still has lovely farmyards (tithe barn, Ferme Saint-Nicolas). In parts the
church dates back to 12th century and to 16th century (listed as a Historical Monument in 1978).
From South to North the Brunehaut roadway crosses the western part of the district.
This portion of the old Roman route from Rotomagus (Rouen) in Germania, passing through Augustomagus
(Senlis), may be followed from Chamant/Balagny to the borders of Raray, on foot or by bike.
